I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, in 2013. I quickly jumped into a career as a contract (travel) therapist, gaining diverse experiences in a variety of settings while fueling my love for traveling, exploring new places, and meeting new people. Between 2013 and 2021, I lived and worked in seven states at 17 different locations, before ultimately shifting into a more permanent PT position in Evergreen, Colorado.
In 2020, I launched my own mobile massage therapy business, which marked the beginning of Heather Brader Wellness. Around the same time, I began providing private in-home physical therapy services, combining my skill sets to offer more comprehensive care.
This journey naturally led me to explore physiological birth, and I quickly discovered a newfound passion. I resonated deeply with the concept that birth is a natural process the female body is inherently designed for. When trusted and respected, birth unfolds in a beautiful, transformative cascade of events, perfectly orchestrated to bring new life into the world. In June of 2023, I was blessed to experience an empowering, intervention-free birth with my son. This experience was transformative, and I knew I wanted to help other women have the same opportunity to love and cherish their birth experience as much as I did.
This philosophy is the foundation of Heather Brader Wellness—Holistic Care for Body and Birth: Where Healing Meets Support.

She was a gentle advocate for me to healthcare staff (while always being respectful) and just her calm presence contributed to the overall atmosphere I wanted for the birth of my last child. I am forever grateful to her and if you’re looking for a kind, caring, passionate doula—she’s your girl.
Heather was the doula for the birth of my fourth child in November of 2024. I had never had a doula previous to this birth but had always wanted one and thought it could only be beneficial if I could find the right one. Although each of my births were unmedicated and overall positive experiences – I truly don’t know that this one would have gone the way I had hoped without Heather there. Natural births in a hospital setting can be inherently difficult; and this birth experience certainly threw me for a few loops right from the start. Heather not only provided physical support and calm but, more importantly, the mental and emotional support I needed despite some disappointing news that arose multiple times in different facets throughout the labor experience. Heather was skilled at taking cues on what I needed from her during different parts of the labor based on my presentation without asking much from me. This was greatly appreciated especially during transition when I was in “labor land”. She was a gentle advocate for me to healthcare staff (while always being respectful) and just her calm presence contributed to the overall atmosphere I wanted for the birth of my last child. I am forever grateful to her and if you’re looking for a kind, caring, passionate doula—she’s your girl.

I could not, without a doubt, have had the pregnancy and labor experience that I did without Heather. Throughout pregnancy, she was my rock as I had a boatload of questions that came up at all hours. She never tried to push me in any direction, but shared facts and resources with me to help me make informed decisions. During the labor, her ability to know exactly what I was feeling and what I needed at any given moment was magical. I felt spiritually connected to her throughout the process. Her calm, knowing presence helped me trust my body and my instincts to work through labor how I needed to. When my baby unexpectedly had complications immediately after birth, I was so grateful to have Heather stay by my side as my husband and baby were unexpectedly separated from me. I’m honored to have had Heather as my doula, and now, my friend.
